My approach blends movement science, soul, and breath—prioritizing mobility, joint health, nervous system regulation, and sustainable strength.
I offer group classes, 1:1 sessions, and community/corporate workshops + trainings in Toronto and online.

Compassionate + Playful | Functionally informed + traditionallly rooted | Not just movement. A whole-body, whole-self experience.
I blend movement science with intuitive practices that support strength, mobility, long-term resilience and your body’s natural intelligence.
My work is grounded in biomechanics, nervous system regulation, and sustainable, pain-free movement for quality living. I center accessibility, collaboration, and care in every class or session.
I don’t just cue movement, but build body literacy - educating you through the movement journey in a way that’s fun and digestible so that you leave with a deeper understanding of how your body works and how to support it in your daily life.
I guide with curiousity, humor, and a deep love for movement - meeting you exactly where you are with an approach that’s inclusive, adaptable and always evolving. -

Tamil-born. Scarborough-raised.
My roots are Tamil, and I grew up in Scarborough—shaped by resilience, rhythm, and a deep respect for community.
These influences show up in my work: a blend of discipline and softness, structure and soul. I’ve learned to hold space for discomfort, joy, grief, and growth—on the mat and in life.
I believe movement is more than physical. It’s ancestral. It’s emotional. It’s a way to return to ourselves, especially when the world pulls us away.
I bring that energy into every space I teach in—grounded, compassionate, and unapologetically real.

Yoga and movement save my life—every single day.
They’ve helped me rebuild inner and outer strength—through pain, through trauma, through everything I thought would break me.
Breathwork is my anchor. Movement is my medicine.
This work is sacred to me because it keeps me alive, honest, and whole.Yoga and movement aren’t just things I teach. They’re how I survive. How I process. How I come home to myself—again and again.

“Sujena is one of the best movement facilitators in the city. She is incredibly patient and remarkably kind. Her pacing is excellent, with a perfect balance of strengthening and softening. She provides all of her students with compassionate and physiologically-grounded visual and verbal cues, helping them to correct alignment and strengthen their bodily awareness. She promotes non-judgment, self-love, body-acceptance, wellness, and physical & psychological safety in all of her classes.
Sujena always offers inventive and creative flows. I often realize midway through her classes that she has been masterfully preparing me for complex shapes all along. She can help you to release areas of tension in your body that you didn't even know existed and she can help you to build strength that you didn’t think possible. I’ve spent the last 18 months recovering from an injury, and it’s because of Sujena that I am able to more comfortably in the world again.
Sujena often ends her classes by guiding her students through breath work and encouraging them to extend gratitude to their bodies. And she has a near-hypnotic tone that makes it impossible to not feel grounded. Once you attend one of her classes, you may (like me) rearrange everything in your life to ensure that you can practice with her every week. She is THAT good.”
— KELLY GLOVER
“Sujena is an incredible and talented trainer who has significantly helped me improve my lifting form, stretching techniques, posture, and yoga poses. Her guidance has been especially valuable in addressing my jaw and shoulder issues, providing me with practical and effective exercises that have genuinely improved my quality of life.”
— BRIAN CUNHA
“Highly recommend! I’ve been doing one on one physio pilates with Sujena for strengthening my deep core, post partum over the last several weeks and have to say it has been the best experience by far!! Sujena is thorough, really knowledgeable and has the best energy with a contagious smile. She has helped me come a long way.”
— SHYANNE M
“Sujena has a unique ability to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes every practice peaceful and restorative. One of the things I appreciate most about Sujena is her ability to foster a nurturing environment where beginners can thrive. As a mature adult hip mobility is essential. Over the past year attending Sujenas’ cool flow and restore practice has significantly improved my overall mobility. I love how Sujena integrates breathing techniques into each practice, encourages us to connect to our own bodies, helping to cultivate a sense of peace and intention as we flow through practice.”
— LAURIE STONEMAN
“Sujena is one of the best teachers I've practiced with in my 25 years of yoga. Her background in kinesiology and health science, paired with unmatched good vibes, make her classes the perfect blend of fun, challenging and rejuvenating. I've learned so much about anatomy, mobility and alignment from Sujena; she's really helped me level up! Her breath work is lovely, her approach is inclusive and she lights up every room with her energy.
I recently did my yoga teacher training with Sujena, after practicing with her for a few years, and was so impressed with the level of care, intention and preparation she brought to class. Sujena has such a gift and I'll be forever grateful for the chance to study with her.”
— MICHELLE FOLLIOT
“Sujena is the best Yoga instructor I have had. She is incredibly knowledgable about body mechanics, movement, mobility and is always willing to answer questions after class. Her answers are clear, compassionate. Her caring attitude surrounds her students in a judgment-free, safe space. I am by far the oldest person in her class and I have never gotten hurt. I always leave her Sunday yin yang yoga classes moving more fluidly with a big smile on my face.”
